BARCELONA FLIGHT SCHOOL (SPAIN) VISITS AND WORKS WITH VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY

On December 6, 2023, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng, Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, hosted a delegation from Barcelona Flight School (BFS), led by Ms. Cristina Biosca, Director of the Flight School. Also present to welcome the delegation were Ms. Vũ Lê Hương, Head of the International Training Institute; Mr. Adam John Voak, Lecturer at the International Training Institute; and Mr. Thái Vũ Anh Tuấn, Lecturer at the International Training Institute.

Previously, the two institutions had collaborated in pilot training, with Barcelona Flight School responsible for the practical flight training for the Vietnam Aviation Academy. The first cohort began training at Barcelona Flight School in late 2022.

The purpose of this visit and meeting by Barcelona Flight School was to report and update on the learning and living conditions of the pilot trainees in Spain. Additionally, the delegation exchanged experiences in training organization and discussed future directions for collaboration in pilot training.

It is expected that by 2030, Vietnam will have around 30 airports of various sizes nationwide, which will create a significant demand for human resources. To meet the need for highly skilled labor in the aviation industry, the Vietnam Aviation Academy has established partnerships with universities and training institutes both domestically and internationally. These collaborations aim to implement relevant training programs to supply a high-quality workforce for the aviation sector in the coming years.
