SECOND CONFERENCE ON COLLECTING FEEDBACK AND FINALIZING THE UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULA FOR KOREAN STUDIES AND CHINESE STUDIES

Following the success of the first conference, the Faculty of Foreign Languages – Vietnam Aviation Academy organized the second conference to gather feedback and further refine the undergraduate curricula for the Korean Studies and Chinese Studies programs. The conference aimed to review, adjust, and reach consensus on key academic contents before finalizing the official curricula.

Opening the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Co Tan Anh Vu – Vice Director of the Academy and Acting Head of the Faculty of Aviation Economics – delivered the opening remarks, setting the tone for a focused and productive working session among delegates, experts, and academic units. Also accompanying the event was Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao – Vice Director of the Academy and Acting Head of the Faculty of Tourism and Aviation Services, who played an important role in guiding and refining the program content.

The conference welcomed the participation of representatives from various departments, offices, and faculties within the Academy, lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, as well as experts, recruiters, and business representatives. Their presence significantly contributed to shaping the curricula toward a practical, modern approach aligned with integration demands.


The conference also featured Dr. Kim Young Dae and Mr. Yoon Han Yeol – lecturers from Korea who are expected to join the Faculty of Foreign Languages in the near future. Their participation not only contributes to enhancing training quality but also opens up opportunities for students in learning, cultural exchange, and exposure to a diverse academic environment.
Discussions at the conference focused on reviewing the appropriateness of the curricula, ensuring a balanced structure among general education, foundational, and specialized knowledge components, while enhancing practicality and responsiveness to societal needs.
For the Korean Studies program, participants provided feedback on the overall knowledge load, the distribution of credits among courses, and adjustments or reorganization of certain subjects to ensure effectiveness in the training pathway. Several course components were also proposed for updates and additions to better align with students’ career orientations after graduation and to enhance their adaptability in international working environments.

For the Chinese Studies program, discussions centered on the distribution of teaching schedules across semesters, ensuring logical progression and coherence among courses. Contributions emphasized the importance of designing a scientific and appropriate teaching sequence that aligns with students’ learning capacity while fostering balanced development of language skills and professional competencies.

The discussions took place in a serious, open, and constructive atmosphere, demonstrating close collaboration between the Academy and stakeholders in enhancing training quality.
Concluding the second conference, the Faculty of Foreign Languages – Vietnam Aviation Academy will continue to collect feedback and finalize the Korean Studies and Chinese Studies curricula, aiming to build a high-quality, practical, and internationally integrated learning environment for students in the near future.
