The Vietnam Aviation Academy, in coordination with the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security), organized the opening of an initial training course for Aviation Security Control Officers (screening security group – ANSC).

The program is designed to meet the increasing demands of aviation security assurance, particularly as air transport activities continue to recover and grow.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cổ Tấn Anh Vũ, Vice President of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, stated:
“Aviation security is a critically important line of defense. It requires personnel not only to master professional skills but also to possess strong discipline, resilience, and the ability to respond quickly and accurately to situations. This training course aims to standardize the workforce, enabling trainees to meet job requirements immediately upon completion.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cổ Tấn Anh Vũ, Vice President of the Vietnam Aviation Academy, delivered remarks emphasizing that the training program focuses on equipping trainees with professional knowledge, aviation security control skills, proper conduct standards, and the ability to handle initial violations of aviation security regulations. In addition, trainees are trained to respond effectively to acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation operations in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.

Colonel Phạm Quốc Hùng, Deputy Head of the Immigration Police at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, delivered remarks.

Notably, the training program is designed to integrate theory with practice, incorporating realistic simulation scenarios to help trainees quickly adapt to the specific working environment.

According to the plan, in May 2026, the Vietnam Aviation Academy will continue to organize the opening of five additional training courses, each lasting approximately four months, in order to expand training capacity and standardize the aviation security workforce nationwide.

Representatives of both organizations took a commemorative photo with the trainees.

In the context of a growing aviation industry, where safety and security requirements are becoming increasingly stringent, specialized training programs such as ANSC are considered a crucial foundation for building a workforce that is competent, disciplined, and ready to meet practical demands.
