On April 18, 2026, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics successfully organized the Conference on “Developing the Digital Economy Training Program (2nd Session).” This event marked a significant continuation in the series of efforts to develop and refine the Digital Economy training program, aiming to meet the increasing demands of the labor market in the context of rapid digital transformation.

The second conference was held following the completion of the Conference on “Developing the Digital Economy Training Program (1st Session).” Based on the diverse feedback collected during the first conference, the program drafting committee systematically synthesized, analyzed, and revised the program content in a rigorous and scientific manner. These adjustments were made to ensure that the program is not only academically sound but also closely aligned with practical requirements and consistent with both national and international trends in the digital economy.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Co Tan Anh Vu, Vice Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy in charge of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, emphasized the urgent need to develop a Digital Economy training program at the present stage. As digital technologies are profoundly transforming business models, management, and organizational operations, training a workforce equipped with interdisciplinary knowledge and a solid understanding of both technology and economics has become an essential requirement.

The conference focused on two main contents, creating a platform for in-depth and substantive discussions among relevant stakeholders.

In the first session, Dr. Phung Tuan Thanh, representing the program drafting committee, presented in detail the structure and content of the revised Digital Economy training program. The presentation clarified the program objectives, learning outcomes, course structure, and the orientation for student competency development. Notably, the program is designed to integrate economic knowledge, digital technology, and practical skills, enabling students to quickly adapt to modern working environments. In addition, Dr. Phung Tuan Thanh highlighted the enhancement of application-oriented courses and the incorporation of updated trends. This is considered a key factor in improving the competitiveness of the program and aligning it with real-world recruitment demands.

Participants highly appreciated the thorough preparation of the drafting committee and the positive revisions made after the first conference. Many comments focused on balancing theoretical and practical components, strengthening collaboration with enterprises in the training process, and incorporating more practice-oriented content to ensure that graduates can meet job requirements immediately upon completion of their studies. The discussion atmosphere was dynamic, open, and highly constructive. Contributions extended beyond program content to include teaching methodologies, assessment approaches, and long-term development orientations for the Digital Economy discipline.
