Conference on “Appraisal of the Digital Economics Training Program”

On May 20, 2026, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics under Vietnam Aviation Academy successfully organized the Conference on “Appraisal of the Digital Economics Training Program.” The conference was held to collect feedback and recommendations from relevant stakeholders regarding the draft undergraduate training program in Digital Economics, with the aim of refining the curriculum to meet the requirements of digital economic development and workforce demands in the era of national digital transformation.

The appraisal council for the training program included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An – Director of Vietnam Aviation Academy, Head of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, and Chair of the Conference; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Nhat Vuong – Secretary of the Conference; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Tri – Reviewer 1; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Van Dung – Reviewer 2; and M.A. Nguyen Huu Hung – Council Member. The conference was also attended by representatives from the Department of Trainning department, representatives from the Department of Testing and Quality Assurance, and all lecturers of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics.

Overview of the Conference

Within the framework of the conference, the curriculum development committee presented an overview of the draft undergraduate training program in Digital Economics, including training objectives, expected learning outcomes, curriculum structure, course contents, academic orientation, and its capacity to meet practical labor market demands. The program was developed based on references to advanced training programs both domestically and internationally, while also incorporating emerging trends in the digital economy, enterprise digital transformation, and technological applications in economic management.

Participants actively exchanged ideas, engaged in discussions, and provided valuable professional recommendations to further improve the training program. The discussions focused on the program’s relevance and up-to-date content, the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, as well as the integration of digital skills, data analysis competencies, and innovative thinking for learners. In addition, the appraisal council highly appreciated the orientation and development approach of the Digital Economics training program by the Faculty of Air Transport Economics. According to the experts, the program not only aligns with the overall development trends of the economy but also creates diverse career opportunities for students in the context of accelerated digital transformation across various industries. Furthermore, the program should continue emphasizing the development of foreign language proficiency, soft skills, critical thinking, and adaptability to international working environments for students.

Through the conference, the curriculum development committee acknowledged the dedicated and constructive contributions of experts, scientists, and lecturers in attendance. The committee also affirmed that all comments and recommendations would be carefully considered in order to further review, revise, and improve the Digital Economics training program toward modernity, practicality, and international integration.

The Conference on “Appraisal of the Digital Economics Training Program” concluded successfully, making a significant contribution to the process of finalizing the new training program of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics. This conference also served as an essential preparatory step to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the context of rapid global digital transformation, while reaffirming the commitment of Vietnam Aviation Academy to innovation and continuous improvement in educational quality during the period of integration and development.
