Học viện Hàng không Việt Nam connects with international universities to advance AI and UAV education

On May 28, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An, President of Vietnam Aviation Academy, together with leaders of universities from the Czech Republic and Vietnam, including VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Ton Duc Thang University, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation in research, innovation, and advanced technologies.

The agreement is built upon the long-standing collaborative relationship among the participating universities, while also contributing to the strengthening of scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Under the MoU, the parties will focus on cooperation in a wide range of key technology areas, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), smart and autonomous systems, advanced data analytics, High Performance Computing (HPC), Industry 4.0, digital engineering and simulation, as well as applied research and innovation projects.

The agreement is established on the foundation of the long-standing cooperative relationship among the participating universities.

In addition, specific cooperation activities will include the implementation of joint research projects; exchange programs for doctoral students, lecturers, and researchers; organization of annual international workshops and scientific conferences; participation in international funding programs such as Horizon Europe; as well as the promotion of scientific publications, technology transfer, and shared research infrastructure development.

The signing of this MoU contributes to expanding the international cooperation network of Vietnam Aviation Academy, while creating greater opportunities for lecturers, researchers, and students to access advanced global technology trends, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) — areas that are playing an increasingly important role in digital transformation, the digital economy, and high-tech industry development.
