GREEN SUMMER 2026: VIETNAM AVIATION ACADEMY VOLUNTEERS ORGANIZE YOUTH-CARE SERIES IN TAN BIEN COMMUNE

Within the framework of the Green Summer Volunteer Campaign 2026, volunteer youth from the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) deployed in Tan Bien Commune, Tay Ninh Province, joined hands with the Tan Bien Commune Youth Union, Vietnam Youth Federation, Women’s Union, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to organize the program “Children’s Festival – Joining Hands Against Drugs” alongside awarding scholarships to underprivileged, high-achieving students.

This initiative carries practical significance, demonstrating the pioneering spirit and responsibility of Academy youth in accompanying and supporting children, thereby empowering them to stay confident on their academic paths and pursue their aspirations.

The event was attended by Mr. Tran Chi Tam – Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People’s Council of Tan Bien Commune; Ms. Truong Thi Kim Xanh – Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women’s Union of the commune; Ms. Nguyen Thi Sang – Principal of Thanh Tay Primary School; alongside representatives from coordinating agencies, VAA Green Summer volunteers, and a large gathering of local pupils.

During the event, 20 scholarships were presented directly to disadvantaged students who have shown relentless determination in their studies. Beyond their material value, each scholarship conveys deep care and solidarity from local authorities and volunteer forces toward the younger generation. It serves as timely encouragement, reinforcing the children’s confidence to overcome hardship and continue striving on their educational journeys.

Embracing the motto “Soaring with Ambition, Spreading Vanguard Wings,” the youth of the Vietnam Aviation Academy consistently identify social welfare and the care for underprivileged children as key pillars of the Green Summer Campaign. Through meaningful grassroots initiatives, the volunteers not only support local communities, but also promote humanitarian values, empathy, and youth civic duty.

Alongside the scholarship presentation, the program featured an anti-drug awareness theatrical skit co-performed by VAA volunteers. Through engaging, relatable dramatization, the performance delivered vital messages on the dangers of narcotics, raising awareness among youth and local residents to take proactive measures, say no to illicit drugs, and foster a safe, healthy living environment.

The eager eyes and radiant smiles of the children receiving their scholarships created touching moments that deeply resonated with every volunteer. These heartwarming reactions provide lasting motivation for Academy youth to bring their energy and passion to underprivileged areas, nurturing the country’s future generations.

In addition to educational activities, the program featured interactive game stalls offering folk games, experiential challenges, and gift stations. The lively, joyous atmosphere at the stalls drew enthusiastic participation from local children, creating a wholesome summer playground. Through interactive engagement, the Green Summer volunteers brought joyful moments to the children while fostering a spirit of unity, sharing, and youth development.
