Welcoming K20 Freshmen – Faculty of Air Transport Economics

On September 4, 2026, the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, Vietnam Aerospace University, organized the program “Welcoming K20 Freshmen – Faculty of Air Transport Economics” for K20 freshmen enrolled in the programs offered by the Faculty. The program marked the Faculty’s official welcome to the new cohort while providing essential information about academic programs, student activities, and study orientations during their time at the Academy.

The program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phuc – In charge of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, together with all lecturers of the Faculty and a large number of K20 freshmen enrolled in the Faculty’s academic programs. The presence of the lecturers and freshmen created a friendly and open atmosphere, contributing to a positive beginning to the new academic journey of K20 students at Vietnam Aerospace University.

Overview of the Program

At the beginning of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phuc – In charge of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, delivered a welcoming speech to the K20 freshmen. During the early days of entering the university environment, the welcoming remarks from the Faculty’s leadership served as a source of encouragement and motivation for the new students. This was also an opportunity for K20 freshmen to gain a clearer sense of the Faculty’s and lecturers’ care and support throughout their academic and personal development at the Academy.

Following the opening remarks, the freshmen were provided with important information about the academic programs offered by the Faculty of Air Transport Economics. In particular, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc My introduced the undergraduate program in Transport Economics, providing students with essential information to gain an initial understanding of the program’s content and academic orientation throughout their studies. This was one of the important components for K20 students, particularly during the initial stage of familiarizing themselves with the higher education environment and academic programs at the Academy.

In addition, Dr. Phung Tuan Thanh introduced the undergraduate program in Digital Economy. Through this introduction, the freshmen had the opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the academic program they would pursue, thereby enabling them to take a more proactive approach to developing their study plans and personal growth during the years ahead.

For the International Business program, MSc. Tran Thi Thu Hien introduced relevant information about the program to the freshmen. The presentation helped K20 students gain a broader overview of their field of study while providing a clearer understanding of the academic journey they would begin at the Faculty of Air Transport Economics.

In addition to information about the academic programs, the program also introduced the freshmen to the Youth Union, Student Association, and student clubs of the Faculty of Air Transport Economics. These activities play an important role in student life, providing opportunities for students to participate in collective activities, interact and connect with others, and develop essential skills alongside their academic studies. Through these activities, K20 freshmen gained additional opportunities to actively participate in the Faculty’s student activities during their time at the Academy.

At the conclusion of the program, students from each class were assigned to different rooms to meet with their academic advisors. This was an important follow-up to the main program, providing freshmen with an opportunity to meet and communicate with their class academic advisors. Through this activity, K20 students had further opportunities to become familiar with the academic environment while receiving essential information for their studies and student life at the Faculty.

The program “Welcoming K20 Freshmen – Faculty of Air Transport Economics” marked the beginning of a new academic journey for freshmen at the Faculty of Air Transport Economics, Vietnam Aerospace University. With the support of the Faculty’s leadership, lecturers, academic advisors, and the Faculty’s Youth Union, Student Association, and student clubs, K20 students officially embarked on a new journey filled with opportunities for learning, experience, and personal development. The program also reflected the Faculty of Air Transport Economics’ commitment to caring for and supporting students from the very first steps of their academic journey at the Academy.
