Faculty of Basic Science

The Faculty of Basic Sciences was established in late 2007 following the upgrading of Vietnam Aviation School into the Vietnam Aviation Academy, built upon the foundation of the former School’s Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Personnel: The Faculty of Basic Sciences currently consists of 14 full-time lecturers, including 2 Ph.D, 7 Ph.D. researcher, and 6 Master’s degree holders, alongside a network of highly qualified visiting lecturers from prestigious domestic universities.

Organization: The Faculty currently comprises 4 departments: Political Theory, Law, Physical Education, and Defense and Security Education.

Advising Academy Leadership: Advise the Academy President on academic curricula and course content for political theory, law, physical education, and defense and security education across all training levels offered at the Academy.

Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Department of Academic Affairs, other faculties, and centers to design course curricula and contents under the Faculty’s management, tailored to specific educational levels, modes of study, and academic majors.

Assessment & Examination: Coordinate with relevant departments, faculties, and centers to organize assessments and final examinations for courses managed by the Faculty.

Teaching & Instructional Materials: Conduct teaching activities and develop textbooks, course materials, and lecture notes for modules in political theory, law, physical education, and defense and security education.

Promoting & Conducting Research: Promote and conduct scientific research in the fields of politics, law, physical education, and defense and security education.

Conferences & Workshops: Organize and participate in national and international academic conferences, seminars, and workshops.
