The Faculty of Business Administration – Vietnam Aerospace University (FBA – VAU) was officially established in 2021, evolving from the Faculty of Aviation Transport (2007-2020). Currently, the Faculty encompasses seven departments: Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Operations Management, Aviation Management, Aviation Security, Human Resource Management, and Business. The primary goal of the Faculty is to cultivate future professionals who possess the necessary qualities, knowledge, and expertise in business and management, with a particular focus on the management, operations, commerce, and services within the aviation industry.

The Faculty of Business Administration – VAA is committed to building and developing a highly qualified academic workforce. In addition to attracting talented professionals, the Faculty regularly provides advanced professional development programs, supports scientific research, and strengthens teaching competencies. The Faculty also fosters a positive working environment that promotes innovation and creativity, thereby continuously enhancing the quality of education and research.
The Business Administration program is designed to equip students with foundational and advanced knowledge in management, marketing, human resource management, finance and accounting, business law, and technology applications in business. The program offers six specializations: Air Transport Management, Airport Management, International Business Management, General Business Management, Digital Business Management, and Space Economy Management.
Students develop the competencies required to analyze, formulate, organize, and implement business plans, strategies, and projects. They also strengthen essential skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, innovation, and adaptability within the digital business environment. Upon graduation, students are prepared for managerial and professional positions in enterprises, government agencies, and international organizations, particularly in aviation, transportation, airport operations, international business, digital transformation, and the low-altitude economy.
The Human Resource Management program provides students with foundational and advanced disciplinary knowledge while developing the academic competencies required for further study. Graduates are equipped to perform key human resource management functions, including formulating organizational strategies and policies, workforce planning, job analysis and design, recruitment, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits administration, and occupational health and safety management. They also gain the knowledge required to establish, maintain, and strengthen employer–employee relations.
Upon completing the program, graduates are capable of analyzing, critically evaluating, and addressing human resource challenges. They also develop competencies in self-management, independent research, and lifelong learning, enabling them to pursue advanced studies and continuous professional development.
The Marketing program is designed to equip students with foundational and advanced knowledge of traditional and contemporary marketing, market research, brand management, marketing communications, and consumer behavior. The program offers two key specializations—Digital Marketing and Marketing Technology (MarTech)—through which students develop proficiency in tools and methods such as search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing, content marketing, marketing automation, e-commerce, and data analytics.
In addition to disciplinary knowledge, students develop strategic thinking, creativity, research capabilities, and the technological competencies required to design, implement, and evaluate effective marketing campaigns. Upon graduation, students are prepared for professional roles in marketing, digital marketing, data analytics, brand management, market research, SEO/SEM, and communications across a wide range of industries, particularly aviation, logistics, tourism, and e-commerce.
The Financial Technology program adopts an interdisciplinary approach that integrates knowledge of economics, finance and banking, information technology, data science, and risk management. Students acquire practical knowledge and skills in digital banking, electronic payments, digital investment, InsurTech, green finance, and FinTech business models. They are also introduced to advanced technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, database systems, and Python programming. The program develops students’ competencies in financial data analysis, risk assessment, and the design and implementation of digital financial solutions, enabling them to meet the requirements of digital transformation in finance and banking, aviation, and service industries. Upon graduation, students are prepared for professional roles in banks, financial institutions, securities and insurance companies, FinTech enterprises, payment intermediary organizations, and businesses operating in aviation, logistics, and e-commerce.
The Aviation Management program is designed and delivered in English to educate Bachelor of Business Administration graduates with strong economic thinking, managerial competencies, and specialized knowledge of the aviation industry. Students acquire knowledge of aviation safety and law, airline management, airport operations management, air cargo transportation, route network planning, revenue and risk management, logistics and supply chain management, commercial aviation operations, aircraft maintenance, and sustainable aviation development.
The program also develops students’ ability to plan, organize, and implement business activities; address managerial challenges; work effectively in multicultural environments; and use English confidently in international business. Upon graduation, students are prepared for managerial and professional positions at airlines, airports, aviation service and logistics companies, and government regulatory authorities. They may also have opportunities to obtain relevant aviation personnel certificates by participating in programs integrated with approved aviation training organizations.
The Master of Business Administration program adopts an application-oriented approach, providing advanced knowledge and strengthening managerial and executive competencies in both general business and aviation enterprises. Delivered over two years and comprising 60 credits, the program equips learners with contemporary knowledge of strategic management, finance, human resource management, marketing, production and operations management, logistics and supply chain management, quality management, leadership, and change management.
The program also develops competencies in research, data analysis, information evaluation, complex managerial problem-solving, and the application of technology in business operations. In addition to advanced management courses, the curriculum includes aviation-focused subjects such as Air Transport Economics, Airline Management, and Airport Commercial Management. Upon graduation, learners are prepared to undertake leadership and managerial roles or serve as senior specialists in businesses and other organizations.
The PhD Program in Business Administration aims to train candidates/researchers with in-depth expertise in the field of business administration, especially in the context of the aviation industry and related fields. The program focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific research, helping candidates exploit big data, optimize decision-making processes and develop advanced management models. After graduation, candidates will be able to conduct independent scientific research, contributing valuable scientific arguments in business management and operation not only in Vietnam but also in the international environment. At the same time, the program equips candidates with a solid knowledge base and critical thinking, helping them become leading experts, capable of consulting and providing effective management solutions for businesses in and outside the aviation industry.
