The Faculty of Construction was established under Decision No. 180/QD-HVHK dated March 24, 2022 of the Director of the Vietnam Aviation Academy.
– Faculty Cell
– Faculty Board of Directors (in charge of the Faculty)
– Faculty Department Trade Union
– Faculty Youth Union
– Faculty Science & Training Council
– 06 Departments of the Faculty
Currently, the Faculty has more than 15 lecturers, of which 08 lecturers are Associate Professors and Doctors with a lot of experience in teaching, scientific research and training management; participated in many training courses on airports. Most of the lecturers (06/08 PhDs) of the Faculty are trained abroad such as France, Korea, Russia, Belgium.
Along with that, there is the participation of many leading professors, doctors, and experts in airports at home and abroad to the Science and Training Council, the Branch Advisory Councils of the Faculty and the Academy for the field of construction.
Survey and inspection of works plays an important role in ensuring quality and safety for new construction works or works in the exploitation stage; especially in the design, construction, management and operation of airports. Surveys often involve the collection and evaluation of topographical, geological and hydrological data as well as environmental impact studies. The inspection focuses on inspecting and evaluating the quality of the work to ensure safety, meet technical requirements and propose treatment solutions to extend the life of the work. For the two majors “Airport construction and development” and “Airport management and operation”, knowledge of survey and inspection is an important factor for learners in the process of designing, building, managing and operating airport works effectively and safely in the future.
Playing an important role in the two majors “Airport construction and development” and “Airport management and operation”. Materials and structures are closely related to each other, in which materials directly affect the bearing capacity of the structure. Each type of structure or structural system requires specific and suitable materials to ensure the safety and stability of the building. This deep understanding of the relationship is not only fundamental to the design of buildings, but also an important contribution to optimizing the efficiency of aviation infrastructure operations and management.
The department manages modules in 4 groups of professional fields: architectural design, reinforced concrete structure design, steel structure, infrastructure design, bridges and roads,…
These modules will equip learners with professional knowledge for surveying, consultancy and design for construction works in general and airport terminals in particular.
The department undertakes modules related to engineering and construction organization for construction works, from small to large scale. The department not only provides students with professional knowledge but also practical skills and professional manners, helping students face all challenges in the industry with confidence. Students will have access to the most advanced construction technologies today. In particular, through projects and topics, students will develop the ability to organize and manage construction, and at the same time arouse creativity and breakthrough thinking in the application of technology. This is a solid foundation to train future engineers to reach far in the field of construction, contributing to creating quality and sustainable works for the future.
The department is an important training unit, equipping students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in planning, designing, constructing and managing the construction and operation of airport infrastructure works. The modules focus on combining professional knowledge of construction with international aviation principles and standards, in order to help learners be able to meet the increasing requirements of the fast-growing aviation industry. Students will have access to cutting-edge technologies, modern design methods, and sustainable solutions, enabling them to contribute positively to the construction and development of Vietnam’s airport system in the future.
The department is in charge of professional management, operation and exploitation of airport infrastructure. The modules equip knowledge and help learners have a clear understanding of the exploitation of airport infrastructure, responsibilities and roles of relevant state management agencies; regulations on planning and use of airport and airfield land funds in order to best serve aviation operations in ports.
