Sun Group Comes to Vietnam Aviation Academy in Search of High-Quality Aviation Talent

Just days after reaching a strategic cooperation milestone, the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) and Sun Group further turned their university–industry partnership into action by hosting an Aviation Division Recruitment Day, attracting more than 500 candidates at VAA’s Campus 2.

On September 19, Sun Aviation Group (SAG) Career Day 2026 was held at Hall F100. The event welcomed more than 500 candidates, with interview panels comprising leaders, human resources professionals, and representatives from specialized units across Sun Group’s Aviation Division.

More than a recruitment event, the program demonstrated how university–industry collaboration can be translated directly into career opportunities for students, alumni, and job seekers. Candidates had the opportunity to learn about Sun Aviation Group, its recruitment process, and employee benefits, while also taking part in initial screening and professional interviews directly at the Academy.

When Employers Come Straight to Campus in Search of Talent

From early morning, candidates checked in, verified their information, completed basic health and physical assessments, and underwent initial screening before proceeding to the interview rounds. The recruitment process consisted of multiple stages, from preliminary interviews to panel interviews with representatives from Sun Group’s leadership and human resources teams, the Cabin Crew Division, Phu Quoc International Airport, Sun Aviation Engineering Company, and other units within the Aviation Division.

From early morning, candidates checked in, verified their information, completed basic physical assessments, and underwent initial screening before proceeding to the interview rounds.

In addition to cabin crew positions at Sun PhuQuoc Airways, the event also provided opportunities for candidates to explore and apply for a wide range of positions across the aviation ecosystem, including Sun Airport Corporation (SAC), Phu Quoc Aviation Catering Company (SCA), Sun Aviation Engineering Company (SAE), and others. Official recruitment information from VAA also confirmed that the event was organized to implement the cooperation initiatives outlined in the agreement between VAA and Sun Group.

A notable feature of the event was Sun PhuQuoc Airways’ “interview and receive results within 24 hours” process. According to Sun PhuQuoc Airways, recruitment results are announced through the airline’s official recruitment channels, significantly reducing candidates’ waiting time.

From Partnership Signing to Employment: Turning Cooperation into Action

The recruitment day took place shortly after VAA and Sun Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement, opening up opportunities for learning, hands-on experience, and career development for future aviation professionals. Sun Group’s Aviation Division also noted that the event in Ho Chi Minh City offered special opportunities for VAA students and alumni to explore positions in Cabin Crew, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Airport Engineering, and other fields, while directly participating in the recruitment process.

The program expanded opportunities for candidates to explore and apply for a wide range of positions across the Group’s aviation ecosystem.

This approach aligns with the cooperation model Sun Group is implementing with educational institutions, in which businesses not only recruit talent but also actively engage in training partnerships, internships, career knowledge sharing, and creating employment opportunities for students. Sun Group identifies internships, corporate experience programs, career talks, and recruitment activities as key initiatives for narrowing the gap between academic training and real-world workforce needs.

For VAA, bringing corporate recruitment events directly to the campus enables students to connect with employers at an early stage, gain a clearer understanding of professional requirements, and directly experience an actual recruitment process. This is also part of the direction VAA is actively pursuing to align education and training more closely with the workforce needs of the aviation industry.

The recruitment day took place shortly after VAA and Sun Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement, opening up opportunities for learning, hands-on experience, and career development for the future aviation workforce.

From an agreement on paper to actual interviews held right on campus, the partnership between VAA and Sun Group is being translated into tangible career opportunities. Students are not only preparing for their future careers through academic learning but also have the chance to meet employers directly and put themselves to the test as they take their first steps toward the professional world.
