Decision on the recognition of research groups at the Vietnam Aviation Academy 2026

The Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) has officially announced its designated research groups for 2026, marking a key milestone in its strategy to become a premier multidisciplinary research university in Southeast Asia. Following a rigorous vetting process by VAA’s Scientific and Training Council—which evaluated funding, feasibility, and scholarly track records—seven specialized teams were selected to lead the institution’s academic push.
The 2026 research groups and their leaders are:
- Sustainable HRM: Dr. Bui Nhat Vuong (Business Administration)
- Sustainable Aviation Management: Dr. Nguyen Thi Cam Le (Aviation Management)
- Smart Tourism: Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao (Tourism)
- Aerospace and Aviation Innovation 1: Dr. Nguyen The Hoang (Aeronautical Engineering & UAVs)
- DigiBuild: Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra (Digital & Sustainable Construction)
- Economics and Air Transport: Dr. Duong Quynh Nga (Economics, Logistics & Aviation)
- Artificial Intelligence and Digital Education: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An (Higher Ed Tech Solutions)
According to VAA’s Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, these appointments are designed to foster high-impact innovation and elevate the academy’s regional academic profile.
