ACCEPTANCE SEMINAR FOR INSTITUTIONAL-LEVEL RESEARCH PROJECT ON STEEL-CONCRETE COMPOSITE COLUMNS
The Vietnam Aviation Academy recently held an acceptance seminar for the 2024–2025 institutional-level scientific research project entitled: “Steel-concrete composite columns: Calculation of shear studs in load transfer regions (top and base of columns)”. The project, led by Dr. Mai Thi Hang, was conducted in a professional and scholarly atmosphere.
The evaluation council was presided over by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra, Head of the Department of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, serving as the Council Chair. The panel also brought together distinguished scientists, experts, and lecturers from the Vietnam Aviation Academy, Vietnamese-German University (VGU), HCMC University of Technology (HUTECH), and Binh Duong University.
During the session, the council highly commended the project for its significant contributions to both theory and practice. The research was particularly praised for its innovation and practicality, as it addresses the complex calculation of shear studs in critical load transfer zones of composite structures—an area with high applicability in the modern construction industry. Furthermore, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra and the council members highlighted the research team’s professional rigor and dedication, noting their impressive ability to effectively bridge the gap between academic theory and technical engineering.
