A New Takeoff: Vietnam Aviation Academy Honors Outstanding Individuals (2020–2025)
On the morning of July 25, the Vietnam Aviation Academy solemnly held the Emulation and Commendation Conference for the 2020–2025 period, aiming to review patriotic emulation movements and commendation efforts, while also launching a new emulation campaign for the 2025–2030 period.
Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Hoài An – Chairman of the Academy Council; Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy; Dr. Cổ Tấn Anh Vũ – Deputy Director of the Academy; along with leaders of departments, representatives of mass organizations, unit-level trade union chairpersons, and lecturers and students who have been recognized as exemplary individuals during the 2020–2025 period.
At the conference, the Academy reviewed the outcomes of the emulation movements across various areas of work and commended outstanding collectives and individuals in teaching, scientific research, management, youth union and student movements. Several units and individuals presented insightful reports, sharing experiences and practical initiatives that contribute to spreading positive values throughout the Academy.
During the 2020–2025 period, the Academy recorded over 70 collectives and nearly 1,000 individuals being recognized with emulation titles and commendation forms at both institutional and sectoral levels. The Academy’s Trade Union and Youth Union also achieved remarkable results in mass movements and in caring for the well-being of staff and students.
In her speech, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hải Hằng – Director of the Academy – emphasized the importance of renewing mindsets, improving the quality of emulation and commendation work, and encouraging creativity, integration, and sustainable development. The emulation campaign for the 2025–2030 period was officially launched with the theme: “Innovative Thinking – Quality Enhancement – Creative Integration and Sustainable Development.”
On this occasion, the Vietnam Aviation Academy also presented emulation titles and commendation awards to 2 collectives and 11 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2020–2025 period. In addition, 4 individuals were honored with the “Outstanding Emulation Fighter” title from the Ministry of Transport, and 4 others received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Transport. The Academy’s Trade Union also awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 outstanding collectives and 3 individuals for their contributions to trade union activities.
The conference concluded with the signing of a joint emulation agreement between the Academy’s Board of Directors, the Trade Union, and heads of departments—demonstrating a shared determination to uphold traditions and work toward the strategic goal of establishing the Vietnam University of Aerospace in the near future.
