Faculty of Civil Engineering: CETA 2025 Conference – A Prestigious Scientific Forum on Construction Engineering and Technology for Airports and Aerodromes
On the morning of May 11, 2025, the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Vietnam Aviation Academy successfully organized the 3rd Scientific Conference on “Construction Engineering and Technology for Airports and Aerodromes” – CETA 2025.
This annual scientific forum continues to affirm its growing academic impact. This year’s conference received strong interest and active participation from a wide range of delegates representing universities, research institutes, government agencies, and enterprises both within and beyond the construction and aviation sectors. Notable participants included: Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, HUTECH University of Technology, Saigon Technology University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Tra Vinh University, Cuu Long University, Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities (AMC), Thanh Nhan Career Orientation Center, Airports Corporation of Vietnam – JSC (ACV), Tan Son Nhat International Airport (TIA), Vietnam Association on Aviation Science and Technology (VAAST), Institute of Aviation Science and Technology, Vietnam Institute of Aeronautics, ACONS Construction Technology Co., Ltd., Sau Construction Training and Human Resource Development JSC, Phins Nguyen Co., Ltd., Tan Loc Thanh Investment & Construction Consulting Co., Ltd., Okasan Livic Vietnam Co., Ltd., Son Hai Van Co., Ltd., among others.
CETA 2025 received and selected 20 high-quality scientific papers focusing on key topics such as: sustainable airport infrastructure development; steel structures and green materials; digital technologies in structural design and assessment; ground improvement, pavement and drainage solutions; advances in airport management and operations; investment efficiency and climate change mitigation; CLT timber structural systems, fire protection solutions, and many other practical applications.
At the conference, four outstanding papers were presented in person, addressing urgent and innovative issues such as: the use of green concrete and saline sand for coastal airport infrastructure; runway pavement condition assessment based on the Global Reporting Format (GRF); comparison between TCVN and AISC standards for steel structures in airport terminals; and fire protection strategies for steel buildings – suggesting modern engineering approaches to airport infrastructure in the context of climate change and sustainable development goals.
CETA 2025 once again demonstrated the Faculty of Civil Engineering’s commitment to connecting scholars, experts, and enterprises, creating a platform for sharing knowledge and technological solutions for the construction and development of aviation infrastructure.
The Faculty would like to extend its sincere thanks to all speakers and presenters for their well-prepared and insightful contributions; to all lecturers, businesses, and students for their enthusiastic participation and thought-provoking questions; and especially to the logistics, technical, and media teams for their behind-the-scenes efforts that made the conference a success.
