Faculty of Civil Engineering: [Study Tour 5] Visiting CC1 Corporation: igniting passion for the construction profession

As part of the Internship Awareness Program course, on the morning of April 18, 2025, students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering – Vietnam Aviation Academy participated in a practical visit to CC1 Corporation, a pioneer in the construction of national key infrastructure projects.

During the program, Dr. Phan Hữu Duy Quốc – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CC1 Corporation – delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of bridging academic training and real-world enterprise practice, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the next generation of engineers.

Mr. Nguyễn Chí Thiện – Manager of Strategic HR Partnerships at CC1 – introduced the company’s history, strategic vision, and development roadmap. CC1 is currently a major contractor for many national key projects, notably the construction packages for the Long Thanh International Airport Passenger Terminal and Tan Son Nhat International Airport Terminal 3, along with numerous other major projects across the country.

Students were also inspired by a practical sharing session led by Mr. Bùi Ngọc Lâm – Director of the Long Thanh Airport Project Management Board. Through his story titled “From reinforced concrete to the aspiration to rise”, he helped students better understand the technical demands, determination, sense of responsibility, and resilience required of field engineers. Of particular note, he introduced an advanced construction technique used to lift the passenger terminal’s roof structure at Long Thanh Airport, weighing over 5,000 tons, onto the top of its supporting columns — a solution that helped shorten the project schedule by nearly seven months.

From lecture halls to construction sites: CC1 Corporation accompanies the new generation of engineers

Through this study tour, students not only expanded their knowledge and practical understanding but also had the opportunity to connect with a professional working environment and explore career development opportunities at one of the leading enterprises in the construction industry.
