THE CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2024 – A TAKEOFF POINT FOR YOUTHFUL DREAMS

The Cultural Festival to welcome new students is an annual event organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the Vietnam Aviation Academy. The program aims to create a vibrant and meaningful playground for students to interact, connect, and engage with various departmental Youth Union branches, as well as clubs, teams, and student groups across multiple fields. Over the years, the festival has consistently received strong support and direction from the Academy’s leadership and other institutions, along with enthusiastic participation from the student body. Returning in 2024, the Cultural Festival was officially launched on October 3 and successfully held on October 20 with the presence of honored guests and a large number of students representing departments and faculties throughout the Academy.

This year’s Cultural Festival received close attention from distinguished guests including representatives of the Academy’s Board of Directors, departments and faculties, other educational institutions, and sponsoring partners

The festival featured two main activities: a cultural booth fair in the afternoon and a vibrant music night in the evening. During the booth fair, departmental Youth Unions and various clubs and teams hosted engaging mini-games and showcase activities. These unique booths reflected the identities of their organizing units, allowing students to gain insight into each group’s mission and activities—helping them discover their ideal communities to join. This event was also a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen their mindset, conduct, and character as Youth Union and Student Association members. It offered practical experience in essential soft skills through extracurricular engagement alongside academic learning. The evening concert created a lively and passionate atmosphere with performances from student-led clubs and groups, as well as guest artists. These performances not only celebrated youth and talent but also conveyed inspirational messages about chasing dreams and soaring high—echoing the spirit of students as they embark on their journeys. During the festival, students and organizers also had the opportunity to listen to remarks and guidance from the Academy’s Executive Board. Their inspiring words instilled trust and motivation for the next generation to embrace a dynamic, successful academic year ahead.

The 2024 Cultural Festival welcomed thousands of attendees across both core activities. In terms of media engagement, online posts promoting the festival reached between 4,000 to nearly 18,000 views, with an average of 200 interactions per post. Some key posts garnered up to 700 engagements, reflecting widespread student interest and interaction.

Despite the festival’s success, the Organizing Committee acknowledges that there were certain limitations during the preparation and implementation process that may have affected the overall experience for our valued guests and students. With sincerity and responsibility, we are committed to listening to all feedback to improve future events.
