Green Logistics Scientific Conference
On the afternoon of July 2, 2024, the Faculty of Aeronautical Economics – Vietnam Aviation Academy held the first scientific conference with the theme “Green Logistics – Green Logistics”.
The “Green Logistics” Scientific Conference was held with the goal of becoming a forum for experts, scientists and businesses to share experiences and introduce advanced solutions in the application of green logistics. At the same time, the workshop encourages research and development of new technologies, creating opportunities to build a multidisciplinary cooperation network in this field. Thereby, the workshop aims to promote the sustainable development of the logistics industry, contributing to environmental protection and improving economic efficiency.
The workshop was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Hoai An – Chairman of the Academy Council; GS. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao – Deputy Director of the Academy; TS. Co Tan Anh Vu – Head of Training Department; TS. Nguyen Thi Thu Tra – In charge of the Department of Science and Technology; together with invited guests who are experts in the field; leaders of faculties, departments, lecturers and students of the Academy.
At the beginning of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Ha Nam Khanh Giao delivered the opening speech and sent his best wishes to the delegates attending the workshop. Next, Dr. Ha Minh Hieu – Dean of the Faculty of Aviation Economics delivered a speech at the seminar, emphasizing the growing importance of green logistics in the context of climate change and global sustainable development trends.

The report “The model of greening information systems in small and medium-sized logistics enterprises with Power BI in Vietnam” by MSc. Pham Cao Van Bai focuses on Power BI application solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in the logistics industry, helping to green information systems.
The report “Developing the application of green logistics for clean vegetable growing systems in Ho Chi Minh City” by MSc. Nguyen Quynh Phuong provides a practical perspective on the application of green logistics in a specific field – urban agriculture. It illustrates how green logistics can support sustainable development in food production and distribution.

Finally, there is a report with the topic “Proposed method for airport pollutants capturing in Vietnam” by MSc. Phan Thi Nhu Quynh, proposing solutions to reduce pollution at Vietnam’s airports, an important issue in aviation logistics.
The reports have provided a multi-dimensional view of green logistics, from information technology, artificial intelligence, to applications in agriculture and aviation. They not only highlight challenges but also propose innovative solutions, contributing to the sustainable development of the logistics industry in Vietnam.
Experts, businesses and lecturers actively discussed and exchanged challenges and opportunities in the development of logistics development towards sustainable development, sharing practical solutions to reduce the environmental impact of the logistics industry in general and the aviation industry in particular. The seminar also helped students raise awareness of the importance of developing green logistics in the context of globalization today.
